Well the Numbers may be down--BUT
The accomplishments of the dogs when you get there is pretty impressive. My buddy came by and picked up a dog we have won just a few dollars with and traveled 3 hours to a $kc hunt tonight. 4 dogs there which is in line with the hunt numbers being down.
Now the quality of the dogs there is a little different.
1. Grand Nt Ch Female National Money Leader last year in $kc
2. Stater Leader and 9th in the 2015 National Pup Race $kc
3. Just a Grand Nt Ch Platinum Champion
4. Our 2 year old mutt. Few hundred won and 1st place with UKC.
Our mutt has looked sharp this week and we will see in a few hours if them hot nights in the woods are paying off, lol
Win loose or draw, I am spending money and the wife says thats they only time I am Happy. I hope it is cooler up at Autumn Oaks next week!
Happy, Happy, Happy!
Entry fees, 7 hours of gas, food and water. Yep, this is a profitable sport. Kind of like raising pups. You have to love it, thats my excuse and I am sticking to it.
Good Luck to everyone at a hunt tonight--stay Safe and have fun.

Good luck tonite Bruce,
And the weatherman says its gonna be mid to upper 80's thru next Sunday around Richmond,so it won't be to nice,,we usually have high humidity with temps that high,,anyways,,good luck then too
.
Andy, I have had her for almost 48 years. She has put up with a lot. I am really Blessed for having her.
JRKB it can be hot up there for sure.
Bruce, the only thing that might be more profitable than hounds would be honeybees. I have both, hounds and honeybees.
J I ALLEN ----U R right lots of money in HONEY BEES ---rained all JUNE washed all the nectarine and pollen off the flowers --no HONEY in the SUPERS this year--- HONEY is a money making business----LOL LOL stick to raising pups ---LOL

I like Honey but you can keep the bees. lol
There was more to the story. 4 dogs there and 2 were owned by one group of guys and 2 was owned by another.
So with 4 dogs we couldn't split the cast and we had to hunt against the competition and ourselves. Now thats a money maker lol Kind of like your bees. lol
So one of my dogs lost and one of them won. Just not sure that is a win lol
