One of the most controversial coonhound topics

Very simple question what is the best coonhound and why do you think so?

Are you asking for opinions on breeds or specific individual dogs?
Breeds: there are dogs in every breed that will please you, and many more that won't LOL.
Individual dogs: I'm not going to say that this dog was "the best coonhound ever", but he was certainly one of my favorites. I hunted with/judged him several times over about a 5 year period and he was consistent. Honest strike dog that opened on track, nice locate and a good tree dog who almost always had the coon. He was also a good looking dog that seems to have reproduced pretty well. Dual Grand Finley River Night Hawk!

That could go 1000 different ways because not everybody likes the same thing .

There's no correct answer for breeds. A walker man would say a walker is the best, and English man would say and English is the best. It's like asking what's the best food, it's different for everybody

I think mine are the best but my buddy next to me says his are so who knows. The best is probably tied up behind a barn somewhere and has never been to town Haha!
