-- Sunfire ? (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928408933)
Sunfire ?
Just before I break into it and try it while we r laid up for a week or 2. How hard would it be to undo my sunfire from my soft cap and then mount it to a hard cap ? ?

Have you considered just installing a hard shell liner in your softcap, worked the best for me.

Got it figured out. Gonna mount it to a camo bump cap I got from valley creek. Should be fairly easy

i've got the sunfire hd on the soft shell hat with the hard liner. it gets a little hot even this time of year, i've always wore a soft hat with the head on it. has anybody mounted the sunfire on a soft hat w/o the hard liner? how did it withstand and did it fit as good as the soft with hard liner? thanks

In my opinion nothing beats a hard bump cap. The band inside keeps the hat up off your head enough to breath and they're warmer this time of year than you would think. Soft caps with hard shells sweat to much and soft caps without liners aren't sturdy enough. IMO
