Is there anyway possible to get a dog to stop babbling

I HAD ONE WHO HAD A REAL GOOD VOICE AND WHEN HE TREED LOOKOUT. BUT DID HE EVER BABBLE. TRIED TO SHOCK IN BUT IT ONLY HELPED A LITTLE.

HE IS NO LONGER AROUND HERE.

yes

All dogs can be made quieter on the ground..... u can make one go stone cold silent if u want...... problem is most people now a days want a babbling fool so they can get strike points and they can get it to me too with the dog freeing the coons. They got 200 plus the coon tree er has 150..... yea it can be fixed glad to see somebody in ukc that done want a babbler

Best to try and get a grip on it before it ever gets to be a habit.
verbal commands, hey and bump with a low setting on the E collar, but be consistent and hunting them alone a lot helps but jmo ( I normally nip it when it first starts, don't like a babbling idiot) Good luck

I agree. Can't stand a babbler, or a dog that barks just to be barking. Had a nice male dog that would babble and we slowed him down some but it still drove me crazy. There's no way possible I'd pleasure hunt a dog like that let a lone take them to a night hunt. Those who hunt them types of dogs can have that 100 strike..........My 3rd or 4th strike dogs are pretty good at getting them 125 tree's.
