What's up?
I got a 9 month old female,I've had in the woods for several months with a older dog. She has no interest in hunting or anything , she will not go with old dog , a coon drag or caged coon she could care less! She will smell up the trees somes times & will grab the coon once it's shot out. She will run too truck and load up ready too go too the woods!
What y'all think?

Have you tried tieing her back from the tree when you shoot the coon out? If not try that. Then hang it in a tree in front of her but dont let her chew on it until she barks up.

dont give up on her, do alot of asking around theres alot of ppl that give up dogs like that and she may turn out to be a goodin i would keep hunting her and keep her involved in it and dont expect much out of her in a year or two then look at what she is doing if she hasnt improved then i would cut my losses...i think that all theses magazines and crap is making us believe that all dogs should be treeing there own coon at 9 months but thats just not the case with some dogs...all im getting at is she maybe somthing someday and you shouldnt give up on her just yet!
Female
I've filled a couple of feeders up, this spring I'm going too walk her around them by her self . Hoping she will show some interest in a few weeks
