There Is 4710 Workers Employed Directly Related To Coal. 3664 In The Mining Industry and 1046 In Coal Fired Power Plants. The Average Salary For Coal Miners In The Ohio Valley Is $88,000. The Annual Salary For Workers In Coal Fired Power Plants Is $68,000. The Annual Federal , State And Local Taxes Paid By Coal And Electric Companies Is $166,000,000. These Figures Are Staggering, And Minus Two Mines Who Didn't Furnish Any Information. Sources Are As Follows, Consol Coal, American Electric Power, First Energy And W.V. And Ohio Dept. Of Commerce. All Of These "GOOD PAYING JOBS" Are At Risk With oblamo's WAR ON COAL. He Hides Behind Global Warming And Those Ecology Freaks, But China Uses More Coal Than The U.S. Did At Their Peak Mining. China Burns Over 50% of The Coal. Why Doesn't Your Hero Stand Up And Tell Them To Stop The Assault On The Earth's Temperature? Oh, I Forgot, China Owns Us Thanks To oblamo!! These Jobs Will Not Be Replaced!! But, They Might Be Able To Be Retrained And Taught How to Flip Burgers At Mickey D'S. It's A Shame That We Have To Put Up With This. We, The People Will Have To Give The Tea Party, GOP Majorities In Both The House And Senate And Put This Lame Duck Out On A Pond!!!

I agree ! The company I work for contracts are all with American elec. power and the rest are misc. coal companies , and some outta state power plants . When they cut back it's a downward spiral effect . I worked in the wv coal mines for 10 years with no problems til obummer took office and found myself laid off twice in 2 years . Iam still linked to coal just don't work directly for the mines no more but a lot of our field laborors have resently been laid off and some only working around 3 days a week . He needs to come off the coal stuff and realize we need coal and more importantly we need jobs ! Why doesn't Obama and his EPA and dep organizations go after trash dumps ? You never hear about them saying anything about a nasty landfill ?

Oblama needs to open his eyes up coal runs America and if they take away coal then no more power. If they turned the power off in the White House and everyone that supports oblama they would realize how coal is so important to us then they might have a change of heart about coal

How Come oblamo Doesn't Pound The Table And Tell China To Stop Building COAL FIRED POWER PLANTS?? China Uses Over 50% Of All Coal Produced And Still Builds Coal Fired Power Plants. He Ain't Going To Say Nothing To China, Afraid They'll Close The Purse Strings On His Agenda.

i hope coal does pick up and keep going. strong for a very long time my parents were raised on strip mined coal wages i was raised on it as well now im working underground in a coal mine to support my family and raise my kids there isnt anything else around that has the pay and benefits like the mines that lets me sleep in my own bed every night and dont have to worry about traveling

I got a decent job now it's working on a coal auger but I want a better job. I pray every night that coal picks back up so I can get a better job. Ever since I was little I always said I wanted to work on a strip coal mine and I hope I get that fulfilled
