This may be reaching back a ways. But I was suprised that Tony's Wild Joey x Hardwood Dan didn't produce better.

Hardwood Dan was not near the reproducer as he was coon dog. I hunted and bred to Dan back in '91. Mr Paul Sheffield was top notch in every way shape and form. Dan was a sho nuff coon dog but he lacked in the reproducing department. Good example of showing that not all dogs are reproducers no matter how many titles they have. Plus Dan was not pushed real hard in the stud pen as many dogs have been. Mr Paul a great man and coon hunter.
