i was looking at getting some beeper collars for my coon dogs and i cant afford a Garmin or a Sportdog gps right now
and i am getting ready to hunt big hardwood areas and would like to find out where my dogs are at
any one now of the loudest beeper and the distance you can hear it at
any help would be appreciated
I thank you have a missunderstanding about beeper collars or maybe i do what we refer to as beeper collars are the old style trackers you put the collar on the dog and use a reciver to get a signle on the collar they get good range i used them for years a buddy of mine has a three dog wildelife tracker you could probley get for a couple hundred bucks (304)373-0068 ask for Earnie

i was thinking of bird dog beepers lol ill still call and ask tho
I can't see where a bird dog beeper collar would be of much use to a Coonhunter. If your on a budget, the old beep-beep tracking collars can be bought now days well worth the money and they will work great.
Another cheap way of keeping track of them as long as they don't get to far away is bells attached to their collars. Also lights attached to their collars works pretty well at close range.

The only problem is my dogs are runners
That don't matter the old beep beep trackers work very well those other beeper collars your thanking of will be out of hearing way before the beep beep looses them your more than likely going to hear your dogs further than those beeper collars
