Cutting males?

Has anyone ever used calf bands to neuter a male? If so what are the pros and cons?

I've done several. On a calf the nuts and sack dry up and fall off, nice and clean. Dogs will chew it off and it will look like heck but all I've done heal up in about a week or so and look fine with no scar.

The farmer was cutting hogs one day and felt bad for him so he reached over and grabbed the bag and cut it off.

Everyone was just kind of in shock, farmers says infection might have killed the dog. Then stated that if the dog didn't bleed to death that day he would keep it licked clean.

Dog lived but was hard to catch for a few days.

Wonder if the farmer was from SC?

Too funny!
