English men---Question about Tony Lusch

Is Tony Lusch stll breeding dogs?

If I remember, he had some of the old Ambraw Valley blood, and advertised a dog named Spuds.

Did anybody ever hunt with him, or any of that stock?

Maybe Redtick has some information...

John

I don't know Tony but remember his adds in the English Yearbook.
The last year Tony placed an add was 2001, he called his kennel "The CoonConnection Kennel" and said he was breeding the Ambraw strain for 25 years.

His address is 5400 Tonti Road,
Salem, Illinois, 62881....phone #618-775-8240

I just checked he did not have an add in 2002 or 2003 nor was he listed in the back as a member of the UEB&FA for those years.

Maybe Redtick might know. He had some nice looking dogs even though I was not sure of the Ambraw breeding as he never listed any bloodlines in his adds. Oh, he also listed the address www.coonconnection but I can't find it on the net. Good luck!

You were asking about that bloodlines I've owned some of the hounds in that bloodlines. When I was a boy in southeastern Ill.I grew up with this bloodlines. And when I come up there and visit with family I hunted with Spuds. So if you want to know about this bloodlines send me a email.

I have known Tony for a number of years. And I knew the founder of the Ambraw line of English, Emery Strole. I have some dogs that carry some of that line in my backyard today. The last I heard, Tony has quit hunting and I am not sure if he even has a hound. He was a former president of the UEB&F Association. My High Steppin' Daddy (Lucky) is a grandson of Grand Nite Champion Lusch's Nitro.

Redtick, The man that I hunted with when I was a kid was a good friend of Emery Strole and he owned a female that was a sister to Red River Rattler mother called FoxCreek Hattie. Glen Hornback was the man I hunted with he lived south of Noble, IL. I myself wish a man could fined a son Nitro and come back on a Spud female and do some line breeding. Emery was a nice man that loved to hunt.
