How did the Kennel these dogs come from come up with the name Hyner Mountain? I'm from a small town in North Central Pennsylvania called Renovo and there is a small village called Hyner about 10 miles East of it with Hyner Mountain just behind it. Are these dogs from up that way or is it just a coincident. Thanks.

At the time that we owned bred & raised
these dogs we lived at the bottom of Hyner Mountain, right
next to Hyner Run State Park. We hunted 5 or 6 nites a week.
That was in the late 70's early 80's. Mark Worrell is my
younger brother. Work was very scarce we had to move back
to southeast Pa. We lived up there for about 3 years. best
coonhunting ever. Big dark colored coons. Most weighed 20
to 30 lbs. We used to make 2 trips to furrier in salladysburg
every week. We took them on the hoof we were getting
anywhere from 30 to 50 dollars at the time. We used to
hunt Tioga,Clinton, & Potter Counties. We sold our place up
there about 1986 I think.
