dna testing ?
Does the sire and dam of the dog you wanna get dna tested havta be tested to?what do you do if you don't know how to find them?
No the sire and dam are not necessary to have DNA ran on dog, it is a stand alone type thing. The test would identify that particular dog, if needed in future in breeding program or identify dog should proof needed to show that was same dog if lost or stolen or same dog entered in hunt should question arise.

Thanks for answering that for me. How do you prove that the dog you have is the same dog that the papers are for?
if your dog is performanced nominated sire already has dna done.

I make sure all my hounds are DNA, it protects the integrity of your breeding program from any possible accusations down the road.
