den holes
finding a lot of dens rite now, and was thinking what is the smallest hole a coon can fit in. hit a den tonight with a hole about 4 ft up and the entrance was polished and frozen condensation inside with leaves, the hole was the size of a baseball

if a coon can get its head in the hole he is going in

I'd like to hear more about this. Just how big of a hole can a coon get into.
Saw one cork screw himself in a small hole one night, I would have never though he would have made it looking at the size of the hole then the coon.

A coon can fit in some small holes, if there head will go they are gettin in it. Me and my brother seen nothing but eyes last night, in a hole about the size of a CD!!

I was in a nite hunt a few years ago, hole about the size of a Cd...Judge and other guy in the cast voted to minus me. No eyes peering out, that sure woulda helped...Still say it shoulda been a circle.

A hole the size of a CD would be big enough for a big coon to get in. If he can get his head in, he will squeeze his body in, the polish around the hole is the giveaway. On a sow coon, a hole smaller than a softball would give all room she needs to get in. Would say a CD size hole should have been a circle without a vote needed, an eye it should have been plussed !
