Todd or Allen/UKC a question

Are nonresident hunters covered under the UKCs premit to hold a nite hunt in a state that requires nonresident houndhunters to otherwise be licensed? Im pretty sure I know the awnser, but some people need to hear it from the people in charge.

I don't think that the UKC hunt permit covers them, but most states require the clubs to get a state permit that covers the out of state hunters.

I'm not with UKC but I know the answer to that.

That isn't a UKC issue. That is a state by state issue. UKC can't over ride state laws (check out the feeder bucket issue for example).

In Tennessee out of staters do not need a Tennessee liscense to participate in a sanctioned nite hunt or field trial. They are covered for that event (or at least they were the last time I looked up the laws).

Other states may or may not allow that.

You would have to check your state laws to see about your particular situation.

UKC hunts are only held by UKC recognized clubs correct?

Correct...the UKC license verifies to participants and State agencies that the event is sanctioned and that championship points will be issued. Each State has different rules and regulations that govern what is or is not necessary for non-residents to participate in sanctioned events. And UKC has a policy that State and Local laws must be followed.
