This Weeks Hunting Pics(Sept 10 -12)

Thursday nite Jill Ryan & I went for a hunt with Prancer and Jill's walker female, Nelly. Nelly treed one along the side of the field. Prancer struck a runner, run him down to a swamp looked up a couple times never stuck I ended up calling him out and that ended that nite.

Friday nite I took both my dogs, my brother & his friend come along. We turned Hooker in first she got struck on a hot one treed it along the side of the corn. Turned Prancer in the next drop, he never got struck and I called him in at that point I was having tracking system problems. Turned Hooker in she struck a runner in the corn run him around the corn abit then he got out to the woods and headed for the swamp, she put the heat on him and made him climb.

Tonite I took both dogs out again, my brother & his friend come out again. Turned Prancer loose he fell treed along side the field under one, I pulled him off re-cut him he run this one went a ways and treed it off the corner of a field down the road. Droped Hooker out on the last drop she struck run him down threw a swamp & treed in a leaner.

Obviously love to See and Hear Prancer but also liking the way Hooker is coming along! She looks so intense in those pix and her voice is pretty cool!

Hooker is getting the job done good, last couple weeks when she opens you know you'll be looking at a coon shortly. She will make 'em climb, and be there when you get there. I have figured out she doesn't tree the same on leaners, last sat nite I had her out late for one drop she run a colder track and treed in a leaner but just never treed right on it I figured it was b/c it was colder but after last nite I realized its leaners, she run a smoker in, located and just never came on it right walked in she had him.
Prancer is Prancer ... he finally put things together last nite and got himself under 2 in style. Come home last nite happy with both dogs.
