Baby Coon Help
My uncle's dog has brought up a baby coon that don't even have it's eyes open yet. I have it at my house trying to keep it alive. My question is what do I need to feed it, how much do I need to feed it, what do I need to do in general to help it survive? Thanks

Thanks I wasn't sure what kind of milk it needed or anything. I just know I got a baby coon to raise!! I put it in with a friend of mine's litter of kittens last night. I'm hoping the cat will raise it, that will save a lot of work it she will!! She keeps licking it and everything so if it'll find a place to get in at feeding time I think she will raise it.

baby coon
I have bottle fed baby coons whose mothers were killed. I used powdered Esbilac (dog's milk) while they were very young and fed it to them with a small baby bottle or animal nurser bottle. Once their eyes are open, they can begin to eat baby cereal, soaked dog kibble, fruits, vegetables, you name it.

I use Carnation evaporated milk with a touch of Karo syrup.

I have used 2% milk with either a little white sugar or karo syrup. Make sure you stimulate their little butts so they go to the bathroom..

Update on baby coon....I put it in with a friend of mine's litter of kittens, and the momma cat seems to be trying to take care of it. It is nursing with her kittens so hopefully it will be ok now. Thanks for all the info, and I will get yall some pics when it gets a little bigger, and has it's eyes open.
