Coon Potion Question?
OK HERE IT GOES,
IN THE SPRING OF THE YR....(NOW) WHAT HAS BEEN THE BEST FLAVOR USED? DOES ANYONE MIX A LITTLE WATER W/ THERE CORN OR LEAVE IT DRY? ABOUT HOW LONG B4 THE COONS START HITTING THE FEED IN A WELL POPULATED AREA? HOW LONG DOES 50LBS OF CORN GENERALLY LAST IN THE TIRE FEEDER, 1 WK, 2WK OR LONGER?
I'LL BE PLACING THESE FEEDERS IN IN. IN CUT CORN FIELDS NEXT TO SOME WOODLOTS..........THATS EVERWERE IN IN. GOOD LUCK FINDING THE SPOTS BOYS......THERE ARE SEVERAL COONS AROUND THESE PARTS JUST WONDERING HOW MUCH SUPPLY I'LL NEED TO GET? I'M ONLY PUTTING OUT 2 TIRES 33X12.50 SIZE ALSO WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO REFILL OR FILL THE TIRE THROUGHT THE 2" HOLES?
ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT
THX!

I
TRYED THE STUFF BEFOR I PUT IT ON CORN IN A TIRE FEEDER AND THE CORN ROTED NO COON WOULD EAT IT,WHY I HAD A FEEDER MADE OUT OF A BUCKET FILLED WITH DOG FOOD SO THE COON NEVER TUCHED IT,DOG FOOD IS BETTER AND HELPS THE COON RASE MORE YOUNG

Well
I have always used dog food/corn mix with grape kool-aid and it sems to work fine! I was just asking and thought that I may try this product. by the way it looks there has been more people with bad results than good so I guess I'll just stick with what I'm doing.......Thanks to all that has replied
Bob
I do not use tires as a feeder....I use a 5 gal. bucket with a 1 inch hole in bottom side and fasten in a tree appox. 4 feet off the ground...I fill it with cheap dog food and 1 table spoon of RINGTAIL MAGIC which I bought from Valley Creek Supply and boy it really draws them in....this is the best stuff I've ever used and we don't have a good population of coon either....good luck
i just made a tire feeder yesterday with 1"holes and no rim in it i just drilled holes in the center of the tire through and through and fastened it together with cut clothes hangers with out the rim it is a lot light i also put 4 big hooks in it and that is how i hung it....i just filled it wiht lots old cans of stuff we had in the cupboard..mom got mad but then i told her that if i used this salmon we might not make it another day on food since were all banging the doors down to get this 10 year old can of salmon lol of course i was kidding lol but i got a couple cans of it and some mixed veggies and stuff and filled it about halfway along with some cookies that were about 5 months old and a little bit of dog food...im going over there tonight to see if they hit it at all since i just put it up yesterday
