5100 LED head

has anyone used any of the 5100 style LED light heads? if so how did they do? better or worse than the origional head? what volt/kind of light are you using it with?

i was thinking about getting one but havnt heard much about them...

Sounds like 12 volt or above and makes a good fishing light. Not made for shining trees. Unless you want to go back to the old carbide days.

i hunted with BeechNut he has one on his Blazer 21 volt it boost you hour on low and high side and it is really bright brighter then the 5100 style wheat head

I'm not doubting you but surprised to hear this. The way I read it, it wasen't made for coonhunting.

i liked it it was brighter then my head on my 21 volt blazer but i always say if its not broke dont fix it i will stick to my 5100 style head nothing wrong with the new led Heads
