How would you score this?

Out pleasure hunting last night buddy had his dog and I was hunting 2 dogs. Turned them loose they sturck in and my 2 treed. Walked in to find my young dog treeing but left as my other dog was going crazy about 30ft away as he was all tied up in grape vines - treeing as he couldn't get out - got him out and he ran to the tree the young dog was on and treed, had the coon. How would you score the dog caught up in the grape vines? Just glad they weren't too far away as he had his back half of his body and legs caught real good!

Both of your dogs are minused on Tree. You would have to re-tree them to shine the tree to score it.
Not sure what you do about getting the dog out of the grape vines though.

Yea I don't know either so that is why I'm asking, figured they would be minused or should time out be called. Never seen this happen before???

well your dog is treed, so you can go and grab him if he is caught on something, just look up the tree for 10 min. if you would of tied him he wouldn't of left.

If you treed both dogs your young dog is minused for leaving tree.

Dog caught- You could do as philip says, however, if you are the stand up type guy that Mr. Plumb says you are then say he is caught and take minus for him also. Its no different than a dog called treed that wont cross a creek. You called him treed and he was'nt.

If the dog is caught, similar to hanging in a fence, the dog is in danger. Draw a line through it's points and minus the dog leaving the tree. Now, the dog would have to be hung up and not getting out of trouble. Lot's of situations and opinions.
