VIP means the parentage of both parents is verified thru DNA testing and comparison. It guareentees the pup is off both parents on the pedigree. DNA-P just means that the the pups DNA is recorded. It has not been been compared with the parents dna, probably because the parents were never dna'ed.

Let me put it simpler. "P" and "VIP" are UKC designations for the two ways a dog are DNA'ed. If both of the dogs parents were DNA'ed and recored through UKC, the pups will be DNA-VIP. if one or both of the parents are not recoreded through UKC, the pups would be DNA-P.
