Dual Grand Blackmon's Country Hick direct son of Wolf Creek Rollen Rock

Hello my name is Kelly Raney, and in the early 90's i had a burning desire to obtain a better ,more consistant, quality hound a could win with.At the same time Mr.M.C.Blackmon seemed to be bigger than life ! It seemed that him and the Langford boys ( Bo and Rickey) just couldn't lose.Well as a young man with a competative spirit, growing up in Alabama.I knew if you wanted to play college football, every young boy wanted to play for Bear Bryant ( 6 National Championships) Well M.C.Blackmon to a young man appeared to be the Bear Bryant of coon dogs lol. Him and those Langford boys just kept. Winning hunts ( 91 NKC world championship Nuese River Queen,92 ACHA world Cahaba River Meg,93 ACHA world champion male Pruitts Red Willie) About the Same time he had a dog at stud Gr.Nt.Ch.Nuese River Joe a nice reproducer that was killed in a kennel fire before he was bred much. That wasn't the first time i'd had heard the name Red Joe,since the 1983 United English Breeders and Fanciers Association Hall of Fame inductee Pine Hill True Boy was out of Gr.Nt.Ch.Blackmon's Red Joe,By the mid 90's Michigan Swamp Rooster hit the scene, and it was comon knowlege that Rooster went back to Blackmon's Blue Boy,I learned the history of those Nuese River Dogs,The first thing i learned bout Mr.Blackmon was he was a man of integrity and loyalty to his good friend Erwin Massengill,I had bought a pup out of Rooster and ol Meg from tha ran and treed the first time he was carried.I later got the pup eat up by someones ill dog, with the pup ruined Mr.Blackmon invited me to hunt with him and the rest is history.Even though i had finished 3 walkers to Nt.Ch. i had alot to learn! Not long after that M.C. bought back Blackmon's Topp a world class tree dog LOUD,LOUD,LOUD!! a true 120 bark dog.The first time i heard him tree a had a lump in my throat.till this day he is the gauge i judge all tree dogs by,but ol Topp was lacking on the ground so Blackmon was always looking for a better one.I learned M.C. was never complacent, and just won't settle for average. At the time we was hunting the nicest female i've ever hunted Cahaba River Bonnie (she was off Rooster and Cahaba River Meg ) Ol Meg was off Blackmon's Rusty Red and so was Topp. Then Blackmon bought Wolf Creek Rollen Rock,at the time Bonnie had caught more coon on the ground than any dog i ever hunted, she treed 27 coon in 9 nights and in Alabama thatsoutstanding. But Rock just beat her like a drum. Not long after Blackmon bred Rock to Blackmon's Pearl,Blackmon breed for ability, speed and tree dogs.Rock is 6th on UKC's historical list Pearl is #2 on UKC's list.I"m not a paid handler, just a friend and i can honestly say Dual Grand Blackmon's Country Hick is a improvement over his sire Rock,Hick pups start fast they are tree minded with coon sense Hick pup are fast, ive finished several dogs because of M.C.Blackmon get you a Hick pup and be successful to call M.C.Blackmon 205 999 3773

Tree Dogs

M.C.Blackmon has always told me if you dont have a tree dog,you dont have anything. No doubt Nt.Ch.Blackmon's Topp was a great tree dog,but Wolf Creek Rock without a doubt was not only equally just as much as a Tree Dog as Ol Topp, but Rock was a ground pounder,he could take a bad track and drive it to the tree and have the coon. One thing ive learned is Mr.Blackmon continues to try to improve his kennel. After hunting with Rock it was really hard to imagine ,a hound to be much of a improvement over Rock. One thing i knew before i hunted with Hick is that he'd be a tree dog.Mr.Blackmon has always told me there's no substitution for Speed. After hunting with Hick i found his speed to be AMAZING!!Not only that he is the kind of dog that trees coon when there isnt none .On the toughest nights he makes coons!I"m really proud to see such a great hound work many people dont see such a great hound in a lifetime ,let Alone own one.I've been equally impressed with Hick's pups they start really fast, they are mined with coon sense.I'm not much of a handler but i find Hick's pups easy to train. And they make my hunts more enjoyable

Hick

I wrote this thread cause I beleive that Hick is one of the most impressive hounds I've ever saw!I feel strongly that Hick can surpass his sire Wolf Creek as a sire,I'm not a paid handler nor am i paid for endorsing Hick.I will say that i've enjoyed alot of success hunting Blackmon bred dogs.
