Red Headed Walker dogs

Where did all the red headed walker dogs go? Is any one promoting a good one these days ? seems all thats being pomoted are black and white dogs. the old Hickory nut harry lines seem to be fading away. not that im a great Harry fan i just like the looks of the red headed dogs

A lot of your heavier Dohoney's Boone bred dogs are red headed.

a very high percentage of credit river tucker dogs are redheaded. i think the best brightest redheaded dogs that i know of are off of dave pollards "dan dogs". many have bold cherry red heads. good looking dogs.

Here is Brisco.. and boy he has faded out a lot.. He is getting a lot of white coming through..

And here is his pup Hondo... Hondo has a really deep red head.. Brisco's used to look like that..

That didnt come from the house line where did he get that red head ?

His dam had a real real dark red head.. She was supposed to be heavy Finley River ( Nobody knows who had her papers last..grrrr.. So I have never seen them).. I am guessing that it is coming from her side though, as his sire was one of those tan-ish colors.. Most of his half siblings and a lot of his pups have the lighter color heads.. He is just odd man out..

that makes sence, i just didnt see all that red hed coming from the house side

I have a friend that hunted with old cheif, i was told he was a coon dog for sure

My question is where did the red heads and the blanket backs come from? If you look back years ago the walker dogs were all open spotted with more white with black/tan spots and usually black/tan on the head with a predominate blaze of white.

look at your English foxhounds and you will see all the red heads you want and that is where the old walkers came from with a little help from a stolen trashy blackntan

i got a male im breeding for my self to my personal females.. he's got a deep red head and throughs it in every pup..... he goes back to harry,nailor i will breed some other females to him call for stud fee. and ped will wirk out a deal i've got people on the waiting lists for pups out of him.
