Nailor on top and Night Heat on Bottom.

A gyp off Rock won the WV State hunt this year. I have seen some real good ones. While alive he was at stud about 35 minutes from me.

Charles, I have a 15 month old male off Cafe and let me tell you he is the real deal. He started young (7 months old) Nice bawl mouth track dog and a STAY PUT TREEDOG no matter what the other dogs are doing. When he gets hooked he's there to stay. He's probrably the smartest pup I've ever raised. He is Nailor and flag bred on the bottom side. I would not hesitate to get another Cafe bred pup.

I've got a couple out of the Hard Rock Cafe breeding. The oldest and my favorite, Nail, is a Nite Ch(4 wins towards Grand), PCK Ch, and finished 4th in the 2003 NC PKC state race. She is qualified for The PKC state champion ship and Nationals this year and finished fourth in the NKC Little Word in 2003.

They are definitely excellent tree dogs. They are average-low strike dogs but I don't think they are necessarily "hot nosed". I think it's more what you'd call "smart nosed". They don't take tracks they end up standing on their head on. Instead they take the one's that they think they can catch. This gets them a lot of 1st trees and helps make up for the 3rd and last strike. Last year Nail caught 6 coons, that I know of, on the ground.

I've never been with nor do I own one that is a real "flashy" type hound in the way they tree coons, but they are all definite coon dogs. All of mine have about five different track barks/squells/balls and a over powering tree chop.

Mine are not perfect in any way but the have what is takes to tree a coon here in NC.

2004 ACHA World Champ and high scoring female at last years Walker Days was off Cafe and a Dick Brothers bitch, UKC World Champ Terra I believe. That Roxy bitch has done some serious winning in PKC also. I like Nailor dogs and I think Cafe would have been one of the great ones for the Walker breed if he hadn't died just when his best stuff was showing up. Hopefully some of those young dogs off him will carry on for him. I only hunted with ther Roxy dog one time, when she was a year old and it was on deep snow, bout 10 degrees out. She showed me that she can run and tree a coon under the worsts conditions. I think the main reason Nailor dogs have a rep for being hotnosed is because they are generally tightmouthed dogs. But the ones I've hunted with can tree coons in bad conditions.

Cafe died last year. I believe he had liver cancer or something like that. Not sure how old he was for sure. Kenneth Mason owned him. Give him a call he'll tell you everything you want to know.

Jonathan,
My "Little More" pup went to the coon pen last Saturday. He's been running around the farm chasing cats here lately so we decided it was time for him to go to school. He's showing alot of promise!

Daniel,
I believe this is going to make a good cross, the pupwe kept went with the dogs the first nite in the woods.there is two more out of that litter doing real well also.
You know I believe if people would give Rock A Little More a chance he could be 1 of the better sires.
