Htx Question
Now that silent hounds are allowed in a ukc nite hunt, does a hound still have to open on trail for an HTX pass?

Mr. Pinson
You would need to strike the dog and tree the dog, you could strike the dog on its locate and tree the dog the next bark. Dave

Yes, they do in HTX except for Curs, as it always has been. No criteria has changed.
It is much easier to tell what one dog is doing on a hunt test versus three or four dogs on a cast. You would still have to have a dead silent dog to not be able to pass a hunt test because it didn't open on a track.
