How many people on here believe when you mate two dogs each one contributes 50% of the DNA to the off spring?

Oh my goodness... Birds and bees... Female releases eggs with single strand of her DNA. Male releases sperm with a single strand of his DNA. Sperm enters egg and DNA strands combine. Egg splits into 2 cells which split into 4 cells. Thus an embryo is formed which contains half of males DNA and half of females DNA. Did your parents not explain this to y'all? 
So then this should work for humans as well as animals, right?

Hitler thought that he could create a superior race by breeding for blond haired, blue eyed offspring. Kinda like Redbone men breeding for solid dark red offspring. How did that work out?
