Bbcha Hunt In Nc / Memberships

If anyone would like to become a member of the BBCHA, please give me a call, and I'll be glad to assist you. The Historical Bluebook is worth the membership fee, plus, it allows you to participate in BBCHA events, and other events, and makes you eligible to receive the BBCHA awards.

I'm looking for a club, in the Winston-Salem / Mt. Airy area, that would be willing to host a BBCHA hunt this fall. Would like to have it the week after the fall round up. I will help promote this event, and together, we could make it a great event. Please contact me if your club would be interested in hosting a BBCHA hunt. The hunt would be advertised in BBCHA sponsored articles, and the CB.

Call me, at the number below, if I can assist anyone in NC with your BBCHA needs.

BBCHA Historical Blue Book

Here's hoping you're able to get the hunt together. Lots of good Bluetick folks in your area.

I'll back you up on the BBCHA BLUE BOOK being worth the $30 membership dues. The upcoming book has over 100 full pg. membership/vendor ads (beats 81 last year)! I was involved with proof reading and can testify there are 15 or more feature articles on Bluetick subject matter.

Includes articles on Blues of the 1950's, Blues of the first decade of the 21st century, an article on July hounds and how they impacted early Blues, features Lee Bros. hunts, Warren Haslouer (origins of Smokey River hounds); don't forget the historical Blue Pages (over 100 vintage photos). Much, much more. I'm guessing close to 300 pgs.

Craig, it went to the printer over 2 weeks ago. Should be out soon. Accolades to the book-workers and all who submitted ads. I think everyone will agree, one of BBCHA's grandest efforts!

Thank you so much for your response. I will give it my best effort. I plan to contact some local clubs in hopes of locating a place for a BBCHA event.

I don't know if you remember or not, but I was speaking in several churches across Texas, when you lived in Texas, and my wife and I came by to visit with you. You made us welcome, and gave me a copy of the first bluebook. You took the time to talk to us, and show us your hounds. Visiting with you was an enjoyable experience for both of us. Thanks for your many years of service to the BBCHA, and "Bluetickers" everywhere.

Texas

Hey Craig.....Texas was a long time ago. But, yes, remember it. Those early BLUE BOOKS are treasures! I'm fortunate to have a full 52 set of the annual BBCHA books. Really a Hall of Honor, alluding to all the great hunters and hounds that have been featured therein. Good hunting with your Smokey River Blues.

BBCHA

I am a member of BBCHA and would love to see an event this way! I will also help promote and any other way I can help.

What I would really love to see happen is an annual "bigger" bluetick hunt of some kind in Salisbury every year where we have the state hunt. Plenty of room for everyone and some good hunting in that area! Just food for thought, take care!

I am working on putting something together that would be HUGE if it will come together. It's been a long, long time since a BBCHA event was held in NC. I have high hopes of bringing one here.
