Up date on Mayberry Blue Diamond Jimmy

Jim turned 18 months old, Oct. 4th. He is making a nice hound. Treed the other night about 20' from the other dog, and had his coon. He is getting better at wind treeing. I am seeing more coons, but with the leaves on it's still a problem. His outstanding quality, to me, is BRAINS!!! He's very settled (not a dead head, but not wild either) and intelligent. He keeps his nose in the air from the time I get him out of the box, until he goes back into the box. He is constantly checking the wind. He has struck a few times inside the box. I sure hope he keeps progressing, moving in a desirable direction. I really like him.
He's not for sale, nor at stud. I plan on breeding him to a couple of females later this year. (if all goes well)

was a pleasure meeting you at West Plains this past weekend.
will you be taking him to the Fall Round-up next year at Dyersbure,TN.?
already making plans to go myself.

If he keeps making progress, I will have him there. I have been looking for something special to put in the hunts, and hopefully, qualify for the world. I know of blue hounds that are capable of winning the world, but their owners don't care anything about it at all. I am trying to persuade the ones I know, and those I don't know to get blue out there. I'm going to as much as I possibly can, and hope others will do the same.
