Coon Candy?

I was thinking back the other day about a buddy of mine who (passed away a few years back) used to order these hard attractants that screwed into the trees for the coon. I was hunting a spot I havnt hunted in a handful of year lately and seen the left over part where it was screwed into the tree.. Who makes that attractant if they are still made?
thanks

You can try to look it up but there used to be directions on google about making them yourself. I have just been using jars of peanut butter screwed in a tree and its working pretty well. Just have to get them as high as you can because the deer will clean it out very quickly if they can reach it.

Yeah you can make it yourself. Be very careful. DO NOT try it indoors. Because when the bowl melts in your buddies sink and that stuff gets hard in sink right before his wife gets home. You'll know it.

Yeah. Happened. Tried to pour it up before it was anywhere cool enough. Another recommendation. Use a metal bucket.
