plott male 2 yr old
Never started a track with him but he packs perfect. He will be there start to finish. Plenty of grit. No papers. Real good bear dog.$700

I live only about 1 1/2- 2 hrs from you. Would you let dog go on trial. ALso, can he keep up with other dogs
We've hunted all kinds of dogs. Then we got some hoffimister red bones and realized all the others we had tried weren't fast enough or gritty enough. The rest lacked in tracking ability and just down right does not have what it takes to be a real bear dog. Back to this plott... he keeps up with these jet pack wearing redbones just fine has plenty of grit and staying power but I don't think he has the nose to be a strike or start dog. And no we don't send dogs out on trail for the simple reason I don't know what kind of dogs everyone has so if they only have brave dog that don't have the grit to bite a bear looking at them. I would be the proud owner of a busted up dog cause he didn't have help. Most folks try to categorize a brave dog as a gritty dog and it is no where near the same thing.we raise and hunt meat eating monsters and yes we get vet bills but not near as bad as hunting one gritty dog with a bunch of brave dogs or hate to say this but here it goes...or a bunch of white or blue dogs that are big on mouth but short on breath that can't keep up!

Thanks for reply. So, how Do I see this dog in action because I have bought dogs from people who said they were bear dogs but did not work for me. I'd just like to see him work before I bought him.
