How many

How many of you guys can remember the first time you heard your first dog get hooked? I remember mine. I was 14 and I bought me a 10 month old grade Redbone female for $50 that a bear hunter had that he was culling because she was scared of a bear and would tree everything else. Lol Me dad and grandpaw dropped her up a big Creek bottom and she sank into the dark in a hurry and never said a word until she threw the biggest locates I had ever heard. U couldn't have smacked that smile off my face. Even though she had a opossum. Lol I caught more game with that gyp than any dog I've owned. I was young and she treed game every night. And we hunted every night. Those were the good old days.

Mine was a bluetick male out of blue diamond Jim.I was 14 and most of the time I was by myself hunting.Man how I wish I could hunt like I could when I was young.It sucks being old and broke down

I was 13. I bought a grade male for $100 at a trade place in Ripley, MS. The first time I cut him was with one of my dads friends that he is in the national guard with. He had a blue tick and a man we called preacher had a NITECH redbone. We cut lose in a chewfa patch and a dog struck. I didn't know it was mine at the time. The preacher was aggravating me saying his redbone was showing the others how to tree a coon. Next thing you know it slams a tree and the redbone runs right by us going to my dogs tree. Shot the coon out and went back to the truck. The dog weighed every bit of 80 pounds.

Grand nitech Koch's copperhead Meagan walker female first coon dog I ever step foot in the woods with biggest mouth I ever heard on a female of any breed I've hunted with them locates in these mountains made the hair stand up on my neck walked behind her for a good while before I decided to get a dog of my own she was a awesome hound and she got me hooked now I hunt these sorry black dawgs of mine every night
