Does the color spot supose to be a tight spot or a wide halo? Mine has a wide halo a lil tough on tall trees with leaves on.. thanks

I think all colored leds have a wide halo. the idea is to get eye shine not spot the body of the coon that's what your bright white light is for. A wide halo will catch eye shine easier. Even when your using your bright lite if you ever take notice when you catch eyes with it it's always at the edge of the halo not in the center of the bright spot.

First do you have the frosted lense cover ? With out it the color will have black spots in it with it the color is solid but wide...but I've found if they look their eye's will shine bright even at a long distance. ..

I do not have the frosted lens. I ordered the light around Christmas and like it better than any I've had. I can live with the wide halo on the colored light it just seems if it were a lil tighter it would be better in big timber. thanks

You will like it a lot better with the frosted lense cover. ..they are like 10 bucks....I didn't like mine at all until I got the cover...
