scoring a dog that comes into a closed tree?

This dog was struck and minused previously, and notstruckin again. As a judge i believe I should have assigned it (in this case)4th strike when it began TREEING, and then minused it for failure to strike? If it had been struck be fore tree the strike would have been deleted, but?

If the dog had been struck but not called treed then came into the tree he would have still gotten minus on strike if a coon was seen. He should have been struck and minused and warned that this was his warning and the next time a failure to strike happened he was scratched.

This is kinda a comon sense thing here. If the dog come in to a tree being scored and starts treeing just tell the handler to handle his dog. He should have to strike the dog on or before the 3rd bark but I have never seen a judge request such a call. Kinda no harm no foul here.

Depends wheather the dog came in after the cast arrived at the tree or before.
If the dog came in after the cast was at the tree and was not carrying any strike points it is simply handled, no points on the card=nothing to minus.
If it was there treeing before the cast arrived it should have been assigned next available strike and minused for not being struck on or before the third bark...

Sounds like to me it was shutout on strike. Even if he had of struck it it would have been with a line. Judge should of asked for a call right? Maybe the guy really couldnt hear the dog. Ive saw it happen before. Id just say handle them and lets keep hunting. Maybe I didnt hear dog either.
