If you are linking them by touching them together,,Mary adding it manually,,,sometimes it won't link up correctly by touching but will if you add it manually

.

First define LINK UP. When you add it back does it add and just not pick up. Or do you get a message that the collar cannot get added. If that is the case, do as suggested and add it by the number.

How is the light flashing on the collar. That is the secret to success. If you are just getting a single flash and not a double or triple flash you have a GPS antenna or connection problem. If it is the connection problem it is probably the plug you unplugged when you took the battery housing apart.

Many people take off the silver plate and go to the battery that way. Best is to just remove the 4 corner screws and leave the lower battery housing hooked to the collar. That way you never mess with the GPS plug.

Now if you didn't go through the bottom then the plug is the first thing I would check to see if it came apart, it don't take much.

collar

the handheld will let you add it an tells how often it updates hand held . but the light just blinks the one blink it will not go to the 2 fast blinks an it will not tell you how much battery life is left in collar . i have checked the gps plug it is plugged in good.

Not sure,,but that sounds like a antenna problem
