Like a kid at Christmas!!!

Leaving for the Grand American tomorrow. 10 hour drive. Look forward to it every year. My wife tells me that when I start packing for a hunt that I get into a different zone. I kind of like my kids that get over excited about a toy.

I wander how old you have to get to have this Coonhunting bug leave. I am 40 and done it as long as my memory can recall.

Do any of the rest of you get excited about going to the same hunts every year? I just thank God ( and my wife) I get to go again.

Y'all be safe traveling to Orangeburg tomorrow thru Saturday

I remember rocky. I miss Albany.

I remember one trip ip Albany and it might been this one you refer to, BUT,

This guy wanted to come with me and he never been to a big hunt before. So, he decided to come. When it got time to pack I asked him if he ever hunted swamp country he said no. Well he ran a bait shop, I looked around and I said hey you need to load those life jackets. He asked why,and I proceeded to tell him so we would not drown if we stepped in hole. He just shrugged and went on. Next day I picked him up and 2 life jackets were packed. I never said a word. We got to Albany and got ready to go hunting. He came out of hotel wearing that big orange life jacket and said here's yours. I strapped it on over my light. When the other guys got there and seen 2 of us I thought they were gonna die from laughter. He took the prank good. That will never be forgot

I get just as excited as I ever did and I'm 53 yrs young I get up thinking about where to hunt tonight. I restore muscle cars for a living I love that just as much as I love to hunt. A man is really blessed to. Make a living at what he loves.
