when can you worm puppys with a regular wormer
i was wondering when i can use the safegaurd and ivomec on these 10 week old puppys. thanks for advice
please delete
well I give the pups the 3 day safe guard at around that age . and I usually wait till their around 4 months old to start the regular once a month ivomect , but I have given pups as young as 8 weeks a little drop of ivomect in the summer when the skeeters are bad .

I used to give my dogs staright ivomec but somebody was saying that could mess up there voice box and to mix syrup in the syringe with it. It may just be BS but they take it a lot easier with syrup.

Piperazine ... 2-3 wks old , every week
Pyrantol .... 3-4 wks old , every other week
Safeguard ... if it's the dog kind , then 4wks , if not .. I'd wait.
Ivermec ... no way until they are alot older , they don't need it that young and you can mess one up .. and it will be your favorite , not the one you were gonna give away anyhow, lol
Nothing scientific .. just what I've learned over the years and I think it makes a difference to stay on top of worms in pups.
k thanks thats what i done. i used the 2way all thru till now . this time at 10weeks i used safeguard and in about 3 weeks i'm gonna break a dose down and give 3days in a row then 2weeks later a half dose. then do the full dose a few weeks later and be regular monthly after that. reckon about six months old i could start on ivomec they should be fine by then huh.
