I got bella from dave at about 7.5 wks and started hunting her more regularly since the snow has melted up here in wisconsin. She has not been hunted with other dogs and has been to the woods about 15 or so times. 10 of those in the last two weeks. She has been hunted primarily on public land just because of the vicinity, so no feeder coons. She treed her first wild coon at 11 months in a swamp on a cold windy night (video below).
Bella hunts on average about 50-100 yards or so at the moment but has shown she will go as far as necessary if she hits a track. She has never been hunted with another dog so everything she has done has been on her own. She has been very tight on track but i expect her to open more with experience. She is about a 60-70 bpm treedog. She has an above average mouth based off of my experience which isnt very much. She has been hunting harder and ranging out farther since I started hunting her more this spring.
Things that bugs me about her is that sometimes when she hits a large open field she seems to give up on hunting and runs like crazy scaring up birds, launching and chasing after them. I've never had a dog do this before but i'm hopping she'll grow out of it. She is very submissive and when around strange dogs even dogs younger her she'll pee all over the place.
At 11 month she stands 22.5 inches tall and weighs about 40lbs and is built like a showdog.
Here she is at 7.5 weeks
8 wks
9 wks
5 months
6 months
11 months
I'd like to thank david morehead for giving me the opportunity to own her.

Fine lookin hound.
I have a littermate to her. She is doing very good in the woods. She loves to split tree and is a very nice treedog. She is built similar to yours. I'm curious also about others who are hunting Hank pups.
good looking pup

Ive got a pretty nice one off Hank and Jeff Nelsons Mandy II .She is due to havepups off Smoker May 2nd. Her and her sister Nelsons Northern Roxanne are 1st strike dogs that are plenty open with very good mouths and good tree dogs. Mine (Ruth) chews more than I would like though
