WARNING! Dog theft attempt last night in Oklahoma
Last night, my oldest son was hunting my Yogi dog when a couple of thieves driving a pickup truck attempted to steal him. Yogi doubled back towards the road according to the Garmin he was wearing, so my son started walking back towards the road. He saw a truck drive by slowly and stop at Yogi's location. He could see two guys get out of the truck, then quickly get in the truck and drive away. Immediately, the Garmin starts reporting Yogi traveling away from him at a high rate of speed. My son rushes to his truck to pursue the two thieves. Two miles down the road, he notices their brake lights come on. When he gets to where he saw the brake lights, he notices that Yogi is now a few hundred yards away according to the Garmin. He stops his truck and is able to call Yogi to him. Apparently, when the thieves saw my son coming, they dumped Yogi out of their truck and took off. He didn't get a good look at the truck or the two thieves as he was more interested in getting Yogi back in his possession.
My son was hunting an area three miles south of Highway 16 and two miles east of Highway 52 in an area northeast of the town of Morris in Northeast Oklahoma. If it wasn't for the Garmin, Yogi would be gone today! I post this so that all Oklahoma hunters are aware of potential thieves lurking the roads around the Okmulgee/Muskogee area.
Glad to hear you got him back, how's he doin for ya?

Home of those with drive!
Speak the truth it will set you free.
BIG$BLUES,
You have to be close to me. I live south of Glenpool. Call me and we will go hunting sometime. My cell phone is (918) 625-9779.
Randall,
Yogi is doing good. He has adjusted quite well. I plan to put him in the Oklahoma version of the Winter Classic at Stillwater. That hunt is in two weeks.
I sure love his mouth. Man what a voice. I guess that is a trademark of the Horn blooded dogs.
Good luck with Ringo and your next cross with Lady on Top Gun.
Glad they got him back. That would have been tough to not drive right past where they dropped him off to follow them to try and get a tag number or to run them off the road.
We had a couple people pick up our dogs while out hunting. We were lucky the stupid people couldn't figure out how to get the garmins off. They put the dogs in there barn. They were very surprised when two people come pulling up at a high rate of speed to the barn to get our dogs.
