Ok Big Don,this One Is For You!!!
Ok everyone Big Don still isnt getting the UKC rules, now dont get me wrong, we have brought him down to our Shoals club and give him a good lesson on the UKC rule book and he is doing so much better!!! Big Don was running his hounds the other night and was keeping score, and got a little confused on a scoring situation, when him and his buddy Kevin called me i tried to straighten him out on it but he doesnt believe me. So im going to leave it up to you guys to tell him how to score it. This is how it went down-
Dogs A,B,C,D strike in, they circle the rabbit and Big Don marks a line, just before they get to the line all four dogs go into a check, before the three runs out dog A,C,B,D track thru the line (In that order)with there noses down and about 4 foot past the line Dog A opens up on the rabbit fully recovering its ck and the other three dogs follow in behind him and start running the rabbit again. Please score this so Big Don wont be so confused!! IM starting to worry about him,LOL.
Thanks Shawn

Scoring to take place in this order.
All dogs receive -20 for going into a check.
All dogs score accordingly on speed and drive in the order they trailed through the line. Rules say it must be obvious they are not trailing when coming through the line. From your description sounds like they trailed through the line. They dont have to be tounging when coming through line.
Dog A to be rewarded recovery (plus 20)if forward progress is judged to have been made on track.
There you go Don,thats just how i told you it was scored!! Do you believe me now, lol.

big don want me to bring gracie down so you can tie on her to pull you across the line I'am sure you were dog D?lol
Ok, HillBillyBoy
I still don't understand how a dog can be in check and a line can be marked at the same time. The dog either has to be in one or the other...the man who made the statement above doesn't reply to the dogs getting in the line, he just talks about the twenty points for the check. So..it may be the rules but I don't agree with the rules, but we all have to live by them.
You'll teach me something one of these days!
Donald
