any advice on building pins
I am gonna build some 4x8 off the ground kennels. Can you send me some pics and advice of where to start construction. I have always had hounds but 1st time builder. Thanks

I built my kennel 4X12 with the dog house on the end 2x4. The flooring I used was a product called Kennel-Tuff. Here is the link. www.vittetoe.com/showstopper/showpet.htm
They are a great company to deal with and was completely satisfied with the product. I put a couple of pieces of steel roofing on the roof for shade.

I built my above ground kennel on runners so that it could be moved around. I have moved twice since I built my first one and I dragged it right up on a trailer. I think the kennel is 5x10 or 5x12. I forget witch. I used 4x4 posts and put a tin roof on it and used 2x6s bolted to the posts for the runners.

I agree on the moving the pens around. Even if you never plan to you might sell them some day and if they are some type of runner or skid that is an advantage.
