pup help
one of my huntin buddies has a about a year old walker male and he will tare a coon up on the ground but then it gets up a tree he want have anything to do with it i have never had one that old to do that that hates one as bad as he does and dont really know how to help him thanks Blake Drinkard
try to catch one or knock one out n tie it up in the tree n pet him up real good try that a few times n c wat happens

I wouldn't give him a coon unless he trees it ALONE at a year old. In my opinion people give pups too many coon and show them too many coon. Every nice pup I've started saw very little of a coon before they were treeing them. I suppose if you have thin coon it might be necessary but up here it's enough to take a hunt-minded pup into thick coon and there pup will find 'em for himself and the coon will teach the pup that they climb. Just my opinion on the subject and I may be wrong but it's been working for me.

well he wont tree so how do u show a dog a coon if he doesnt tree ur going have to show him or he may never get n i think if he would hang on up he will think o thats wat them other dogs r doing some dogs have tree ability in them n others lack them ones that lack needs lil more attition n i think that would be the best way dont have to do it alot jus maybe a time or 2 jus enough were he will lean on the tree n hammer down on it
