yea they were I never got to use the lantern like gramps LOL not for sure on the year guessing around 1947 for gramps and dad,

yea my grnpap use to talk about the lanterns then he updated by the time i got to tag along to carbide lights i hunted a lot of years with the carbide lights and a 2 cell flash light to spot the coon this sport has really changed now its about how much you can get for a dog and buying the best equipment you can get jmo

thats what i liked about pleasure hunting with my buddys we never made it a compition thing but i did alot of hunting myself exspecialy if i had a young dog i can rember when i was about 14 id get my hound and go by myself so hunting alone has never bothered me i got sick a couple yrs ago got rid of my hounds i really miss them
