registering question
Are OMCBA puppy papers enough to register with UKC? It has the pedigree, and numbers on it already. I really do not have the need for OMCBA membership, or registration at this time.

UKC really doesn't recognize OMCBA papers, OMCBA puppy papers won't give you anything but the sire/dame and grandparents top and bottom. If you want anymore you will need permanent OMCBA papers to find that out. Either way you will need to send pics in with the dog to register it.

(I copy and pasted this)
The rules for Single Registration for the Mountain Cur are as follows:
1. Completed UKC Application for Cur/Feist Single Registration
2. Copy of your dog's registration certificate from a UKC acknowledged registry.
Acceptable registries for the Mountain Cur are: Original Mountain Cur Breeders Association and
Kemmer Stock Registry
3. Complete three generation pedigree is required. (photocopy or handwritten pedigree is acceptable)
4. Three color photographs. One photo of each side of the dog and one photo of the front must be provided.
Photos should be taken at eye level with the dog in a standing position.
5. Single Registration fee of $20.00

I appreciate both of your replies, I just don't see where it says permanent registration
According to this the OMCBA is "acceptable" ......And, is this a 3 generation or 2?

Obviously I was wrong, John has UKC registered way more dogs than I have.

Judy Poore & Jimmy Hoover both told me that OMCBA puppy papers are like a temporary license plate. The dog isn't registered with OMCBA till it is permenantly registered.
