GPS Signal

Got a garmin collar in a trade and it has weak gps signal. could this be because of the small wire inside the collar bein messed up? It has a dayglo replacement.

Did you try cleaning the connection where the gps wire connects to the unit?

That was going to be my next question, where is the wire and what can I do to fix it. Lol I've never taken a DC30 apart.

Take off the back plate and you will see where it connects. It has a rubber boot that you lift up and the wire connecter just pops off the connection. There is no screws or anything that attatches it. They can be a little stubborn sometimes so I use a pair of forceps to grab and unattatch the connector. It really is very simple.

Is it inside the part that hangs under the dogs neck or the part on top of the neck.

got it

Found the plug you were talking about. I cleaned it up. I will check it when I get home and get to my handheld. Thanks hopefully this fixes the problem.
