UKC DNA Department

What is the typical time frame to have a dog profiled? I mailed off the DNA kit over a month ago and haven't received anything yet. I just want to get everything in order before the end of the year.

Thanks
Chris

DNA???

Chris , good luck on getting it back in a reasonable time!! Took me 9 weeks on one dog and 8 weeks on another dog. ..I checked out your web.site and your Dancer male, he is a really nice looking dog , good luck with him and good hunting , Murph

I have always had PKC DNA my pups, takes about 4 weeks to get it back, then I send a copy along with 8 bucks to UKC and get it back from them in 3 or 4 weeks.

The things you learn after the fact...

thanks for the info. By the way murph, i believe my young dog carries some of one of your ol dog's blood (sampson). Was it you that owned the northern blue sampson dog? If so, how did he hunt?

You might want to call and see if it's not on her desk... Can't think of her name but the girl thats in charge of the DNA department. She doesn't have any help or at least she use to not. I sent the mother, father and 3 pups in to get them DNA'd and told me it be six weeks and it took at least 9 and me bugging the **** out of her and UKC actually delivering them to me at an event! And I still didn't get all of the paperwork there, just the stuff that came from UKC because the DNA company just told UKC the results. It took a couple more weeks for the 'official' papers to come in. So it's not necessarily UKC's fault completely, I think the place they send them into is a joke.
