help how long to heal
on monday I went out and my dog cut the back pads on both his front feet they were completly raw the next morning.I left him layed up all week and he acted like they wern't bothering him any more so I decided to take him out tonight but after one drop they are all raw again and you can tell they are really bothering him how long should i leave him layed up for them to completly heel any input would be greatly appreaciated thanks
put tuff feet on his pads. should heal quickly. 3 or 4 days

Pads take a long time to heal if they're cut bad. Had a dog I was running in the hunts that was really clicking that cut a pad and I hated to lay him up and start all over. I tried putting those dog boots on him
but he kept loosing them and I couldn't keep them on. I finally laid him up and a guy gave me some stuff called tetrosyne or
something like that to put on it. I guess it's expensive but it really
speeded up the healing process. It keeps eating the dead tissue
and I could see progress every day. It healed up but remained split. This dogs pad was cut all the way through.

Go there and get the stuff they put on cracked horse hoofs. I believe it's pine tar based. Something else that works well is crazy glue.

Plotts, they just get the job done.
Make sure that you are not using limstone in your kennel area. I had a dog that the limestone had his feet raw in no time. Pea gravel or crushed slag works better.
