Weimaraner reg. with UKC
I have a blue weim that is registered with AKC. I really want to register him with UKC. Blue is not allowed in Conformation ring but is allowed to compete in all other akc events. Can someone tell me if UKC accepts blues?
Thanks
Blue is a disqualification for Weims with the UKC.
Standard states:
DISQUALIFICATIONS
Distinctly blue- or black-colored coats.
Registration rules read:
Disqualifying Faults:
UKC does not knowingly register dogs with disqualifying faults. Any attempt to register a dog that has color(s) not accepted within its Breed Standard will be denied registration with UKC.
Dogs with disqualifying color / faults can enroll in the UKC Limited Privilege Program.

thank you
Thanks for clearing that up. <disappointed>
A Blue Weim. would not be able to be registered with UKC.
I have come across through my research several blue weims registered with UKC. Guess UKC is just tightening their belt and accidently let many slide through over several years. Is the limited papers require neutering? I just want to earn some hunt titles with him. thanks
