Cargill meats
I had put my apllication in here about a week ago they want me to come in next week for an interview anyone know anything about this company or ever worked in a plant that butcherd hogs.Seems the pay is ok starts out at 12.00 an hour.
Cargill Plant
close by in Guelph Ont Canada , they do 1100 head ( beef ) per day and guys average around $ 18 per hour . Good luck , lots of good knives get turfed early .
Thanks I am just trying to find out about the interview process I was doing some online research and read some good and some bad some say they dont like to hire american people example:There was an american who grew up on hog farm all his life he went in for an interview and there was a few hispanics well long story short they hired the hispanics and told him they would call him but never did I am hoping to get hired here I have been doing part time work for a horse farm making around 100 dollars a week.
Trapping
up here , you could do just as well and have more fun doing it !
Iworked for a cargill meat company about 4 years coming out of high school. We killed anywhere from 6500 - 7500 hogs per day.If its like our plant there were different wages for more difficult jobs.I was on the kill floor and there is also a cut floor.Kill floor is hot and cut floor is real cold.
