This weeks hunting pics
Any one had any luck hunting lately?? We're so ready for those dang leaves to fall off! Although Grace has been treeing about 2 a night, we've had a hard time gettin them to look. We did, however, get 2 to look this week. We shot them both!! The first was a big boar that Grace ran hard for over an hour on Tuesday night. When we got to her, she was treeing hard and we looked hard for the coon. The canopys of the trees were all connected. We had just about given up when we looked up the tree next to the one she was on and saw that ring tail hanging down!!! The second was a sow coon. She didn't run it for long. Got to the tree and shined it for a while and it finally looked. We shot it 2 times and saw the eyes moving across the limb... then they started coming down the tree... and no she wasn't falling!!! She was climbing down the tree! We ran over to Grace to let her go. She took off after it and caught it about 15 or so yards from the tree. That sucker had plenty of fight left in it! Grace took care of it though. We were happy with the luck we had. Grace just came in heat so she'll be off for a few weeks but we are very happy with the good note we ended on with her. Can't wait til November when the good hunting starts and the REAL coon dogs shine!!! I've posted some pics of this weeks hunts.

Thanks warn!!! We reallly love our "Grace Ann"!!! She's such a pleasure! We are planning on breeding her next time she comes in. We were going to this time but decided we wanted to take this fall/winter to finish her to Gr. Nite and then breed her next time.
th eother night we shot around 3 times at a coon the gun jammed and the dogs were tied back from the tree and the coon came down jumped from tree to tree then went into a hole
That stinks!! I was hoping this one didn't run up another tree before Grace caught it!!
great!!
Great pictures , great job!!!!!!
