They're great if you like to listen to a dog babble then run a track for 30 min to an hour then get treed. If you like an action packed dog thats quick to get treed you're probablly not going to like a wipeout dog.

Never owned one but they seem to lke to win new pickup trucks.

ya they win the trucks by running a track for 30 min. to a hour and then tree. ( i do not think so )
all that i have hunted with are track driving coon treeing dogs

The people that are sayen they babble can't beat them in hunts..its like the.mojo dogs they say they babble.but really its prolly because they get their tails handed to them when they draw out with one..I will never own or hunt a mojo dog but I've herd from good honest people that the ones they hunted agiesnt beat them bad but it was from being coon treeing machines..

they might Bark and Bark , and maybe get treed in a hour , and win , but if the wipeout dogs are not any good, I got one question. what were the other 3 dogs on the cast doing while the wipeout trash was trailing ?

Posted by boxmanwillie on 03-07-2013 12:07 AM:

WIPE OUT HOUNDS

TRAILING TRACK DOGS THAT WILL TRAIL AND OLD FEED TRACK UP AND HAVE THE MEAT

Posted by Jon Millwood on 03-07-2013 12:11 AM:

I've hunted Wipeout dogs for over 10 years. Never had a babbling one. Never had one that opened up too much on track. Never had one that wasnt dead accurate.

Most are honest strike dogs. Most are trailing type hounds. If the coons arent moving dont expect them to tree. Most of them have a big mouth.

The bottom line is people try to find faults with winners and Gary summed it up real quick what were the other 3 doing when the wipeouts were winning all themtrucks and dollars!!!!!! I also consider this the coma line but with ruby they tended to get a little more wild ones but all in all good noses that can still run a track !!!!!, q

Posted by Bobby Reynolds on 03-07-2013 12:20 AM:

Accurate!!! Most trail more than I like in my country but when they park their a$$ they will have a coon. I have had 3 at my house. They did bark more than I like on track. Two were positively babblers until I broke them. They was great strikedogs even after I stopped the babbling. They treed coons but was not what you needed to win a coon treeing contest in Illinois. I won't say they can't win up north, but they don't win as much up here as down south. Just my opinion. Do I like them? YES!! If coon were not so thick up here I would still have one. Do they win Trucks? More than any other line of dogs out there but truck hunts are in the south.

Wipeout Dogs!!!

The one thing I like about them and why I hunt one is because they are deadly accurate and like to get by there self with the meat. Like'm or not they are WINNERS!!!

Lot of people love to hate em but cant seem to beat em. Lots of cash has been handed over to wipeout dogs. Yes they are track minded dogs but how can a dog tree a coon if it cant run its track first?

I can fill this page up with dogs we have purchaed to run the hunts with in last 10 years that had good repuatations and already has won a good bit, that was not wipeout. Each time i found myself going right back to Wipeout because that is what seems to work down in my terrain. I will not stray again. Team Wipeout!

We owned a littermate brother to pony express. He had a huge mouth and he left the truck to go huntng faster then any dog I have seen. I didnt paticuliarly like him because he liked deer. He fell off on a coon every time. We sent him to North Al to be hunted for a while and he come down with something that got him deathly sick. Vet couldnt find what it was up there with several tests. We got him back to see if my vet could and he died a day after he got back. Wipeout Waylon

It's simple, thick coons =not really,, thin coons=look good ,, got the meat = the best they are ,, fast about doing it= NO ,, most are bawl mouth all the way,,and most of the good ones are dead loners .. They are winners

Posted by Pigeon on 03-07-2013 04:20 AM:

Wipeout

Really accurate dogs better suited for the thin coon population.

If the truck hunts were held up north they would be in a bit of trouble.

wipe out dogs

These dogs are a mans dog. Yes they will trail for a long time.and get treed with a coon. But... and this is a huge but. The wipe out.dogs.I have owned. Only do this before they are hunted down. The kind of hunted down I'm talking about is the kind that you are trying to make the dog pass out. The kind that he don't want to get out of the box. The next day you don't see him because he's tired. These dogs need hunted so hard its scary. When you hunt them down that far you will know what they mean by " wipe out". When this is done you will be able to win just about every hunt you put them in. Very nice dogs just need a man behind the lead. Good luck and have fun

Posts like this make me believe that most people haven't hunted with a GOOD wipeout dog... I would bet the farm that the truck hunt results would be the exact same if they were held up north. There isn't a lot of big Hunts up north put on by the KC that holds the truck hunts but the ones they do hold up north usually have a wipeout dog on the mix... (Super stakes... World hunt... ?!?!?!)

Good wipeout dogs are usually deep and lonely with a coon. Big hounds mouths and more hunt than the average man wants. Don't be fooled though, they can run up a scorecard as quick as anything else... I've got one in the back of the truck right this very minute that was in the top 18 of the PKC world hunt at 24 months 2 weeks old, has about 35-3600$ won and has only lost a handful of casts, and can tree coons as quick as anything but can also be 2 miles in minutes hooked with one if need be.

Good post Nat.

You remember a local dog by the name of Last Deposit Zeb? He is what taught me about what Wipeout dogs are capable of. Also the sire of my Layla dog that has a lot of his qualities.

Posted by Nat Thomas on 03-07-2013 01:42 PM:

I remember Zeb... And I also remember several times that he completely gutted us for 2 hours. Could tree coon as quick as anything and wipeout to the core!!!!
