Lights on lanyard ?

Looking for some input from hunters who have had their entire light mounted on a neck strap . I’ve seen several builders do this build . Are they awkward or bulky? Looking for a better summer option light than them warm bump caps . Thanks for any input

It gets in the way if you wear your lead, or gun over your shoulder, and across your chest. You can't see the coons eyes reflect back at you unless you put the light up by your head. It hangs in the way when leashing a dog, and you can't see when bent over.

Only way I have wore mine for over 15 years never have liked wearing one on my head! If built right with adjustable strap around your neck sits dead center on your chest flat and works awesome for walking, no bugs in face in summer, easy to use with your hand shining a tree. Myself I started back with the cord lights. I never have had an issue with leash or a gun lol but of coarse had mine built with adjustable neck strap so I could have it right where I want it on my chest. Also when works great for shooting just hold it right next to gun.
